The Chimney Company founder, William Bassels, has been in the construction and real estate business for over 25 years. In 1994 he opted to specialize in chimney building, chimney lining, and chimney repair. Soon after this decision, Bill would obtain his W.E.T.T. certificates for “Technician and Sweep”.

Not being completely satisfied, he contacted “Toronto Municipal Licensing & Standards” to be tested for chimney repairs and installation. He passed the exam and obtained his official license as a “Chimney Repairman”.

In 1997 The Chimney Company was officially incorporated, and since carries all the necessary credentials including licenses, certificates, workers coverage, liability insurance, and guarantees.
